Just as summer comes to an end I snap a photo down in narragansett at Monahans of a local surfer forgot his name.

And with Fall in the air snowboarding is on people minds obviosly, one of my faveorite homies to shoot Erich from ICKS crew killin it at the Wachusett jam on a warm Sunday in October. Winter is around the corner and I am excited to get on the photo game.

I woke up super early today to drive down to RI. Rolled up to Brendans house at about 7:05am I jumped in his rent a SUV and we drove to green hill and caleb and Morgan met up with us there we had a super fun sesh, I got my ass handed to me for a while then got a hang of the break and took off on some super speedy rights. We got out of the water around 10:30 am and rolled to crazy burger to get the best breakfast around as far as I'm concerned the Northeast. We then drove back and hit up Point Judith and it was super sickk because it is a right handed point brake over rocks, which I have never surfed before and It was killer, nice long rights and just felt like I have been waiting so long to surf that type of wave.

Finish Paper drive down to Providence to hang with my good buddy Justin. I rolled up to his house on Power st at about 430pm he wreaked of booze and body odor classic, I actually would not have wanted it to be different. I was under the impression that we were going to go skate so I could shoot some photos and film he was under the impression of getting more booze. We hit the local bottle shop and picked up some tall cans of Narragansett. Drank a few hung out on his porch while he played some sweet tunes on his guitar, played some ping pong then I ran to the bbq spot and picked up two pulled pork sandwhiches while this kid showered cause he was rank. Off to my first block party of the summer and met some homies and then went back to their house and kicked it on the porch listening to killer tunes and drinking some beers. I forgot to mention that we rode bikes to where ever we were going, and I had never really been on a rode bike before so the evening was looking like a learning expierence. I kept it mellow because Justin brought me to a house party and then decided to go out on the porch and fall asleep for the whole time I was there being a complete stranger and haveing to explain I was hangin with the dood who was sleeping out on the porch. Sat morning started nice and early with some fresh baked goodies, more ping pong and music and off to the west side of town to go to breakfast which was awsome. I got the special hash killer! Got some iced coffee and said my goodbyes, back to Boston.

Summer is in full swing I've been going to school for the past month and it has put a real damper on my surfing because I havent surfed since the last time I was in LI and even then I was just trying to push through a small mess of slop. I hope this summer we see an insane huricane season that last until december because then there will be no downtime before rideing the white wave.Duh! I took a small weekend trip down to Narragansett in hopes of surf found none because it was flatter then a board but i did get to hang with some good homies, and even found sometime to rage out in Newport.

I was taking a walk down to Davis SQ to go do work at the coffee shop and I passed this house that had a rock in front and on the rock was this little castle so i snapped a photo with my phone. For some reason it made me think of Jimi Hendrix and being in a jungle. Its random and I dont ever post things like this but Im just putting it out there for everyone to see.

I also went to my friends show last night at Charlie's Kitchen this rad little spot in Harvard SQ, havent been to a show in ages but it felt just the same as always. Really after this long you still cant beat some good fast hard punk rock. I wish I could be in a band its the only thing I have ever really wanted to do and have never done in this life so far BUMMER! Shot some photos of a few bands heres a shot of a cool band from PA.

So theres many reasons why I havent updated my blog but none of them should be used as an excuse, I should always be letting everybody know all the useless things that go on in my life that you really dont care about. Anyway I got into Grad school at Tufts and started last wednesday.

Let me tell you theres a reason why you become a Master when your done with your program, this shit is no walk in the park.
Since I have been here I spent a whole day in a public highschool right outside of Boston and it was nice, kids are different then the way I remember. Maybe it was just because me and my two friends were punks and we gave everybody a hard time and basically hated being in school. I had to dress fancy so to me I looked like a huge dork I hope the kids didnt think so.
I also ate lunch from the cafeteria and it kinda was good they also hooked me up on the price cause I was a teacher and they gave me chocalate milk siccckkkkk!

Now for my new way of storing my denim in a very minimilist fashion. Books and denim!

And in any fashion I need to share with you the only way to keep your shirts fresh with my patented "Hang To Dry" system.

Well hopefully I can post more frequently, I will have to find time inbetween the countless hours of reading and writing to BLOG DUH.

The spring brought in some really nice weather for riding, The Bud man came out in true fashion on his day off. These images are of Bud slashin and flyin high like his shorts. Alot of memorable moments went down this winter and i really want to thank everyone who was part of it, on and off the mountain. I really found a new interest in shooting my crew snowboarding. I will be at grad school this coming winter so any chance i have to come and shoot wherever you guys are at I will be there and will be equipped with a sweet new slr camera. This years video is going to be epic and im really excited to be part of the process, hopefully i can pump out some fresh art for it.

This past Sat was the Ice Coast Kills Shit rail rager and it was a complete success. Friday was spent building the setup all day with shovels and alot of hard work went into it, but it paid off. The comp was wild no rules type of thing. kids were throwin down big and some kids were to scared to ride the setup including myself cause it was super gnar. The picture featured with the post is of me and sean with Johnny O'Connor who took first place which consisted of the biggest trophy we had and my classic big time cash neckalace backed with ice coast kills shit stickers, and a OKAY NY sweatshirt. The party was insane crazy shit went down and tons of shots and boozein. Me and Sean used to do a small company OKAYNY thats where the sweatshirt came from and thats why this pic is epic cause Johnny kills it and he's reppin sean's new shit and our old shit.

Stay up everybody springs here and it just rolled in with surf season.

So I really don't post everyday or even once a week I guess its because I like to save up for a big post like this one. Lots of things have been happening. My really good friends had a little girl named Sienna Skye, they are going to be the best, coolest parents ever. Congrats Danny and Lulo.

I also still take pride in my coffee creations because I don't get to sling Joe to often, but when im home i try to make sure I make at least one special drink so I don't get too rusty.

That huge storm that hovered over the northeast about two weeks ago dumped about 5 feet of snow maybe more in the mountains and left our backyard a free zone for creativity. The ice coast kids got to work and built some fun things. Johnny O came through to hang and ride got a good snapshot of him killin it.

And to end a big update a little music to recommend to everyone who might actually make it this far into what i have to say. BUY the Monsters of Folk album it is soooo siiccccckkkk.

There's nothing better then a backyard-sesh with your boys. Im lucky enough to be able to shoot my crew when they ride, they work with me and I hope to get some good shots. The first three shots are right outside my front door up in Haines Falls NY and then the last shot is at Hunter. This past Sat Hunter had a little rail jam and all three of these guys took home prizes for 1st 2nd and 3rd they basically went bigger and better then everyone else like usual. In good Ice coast fashion heres the pictures of a killer weekend with the Love Life Kids.

So Long Island and NYC got dumped on with about a foot and a half of snow, I called the crew down to get some things done. Two days working hard diging spots and filming. It was EPIC spots that have never been hit before. This is some shots from the beach which was the second day of riding.

I have been saving this piece of paper since probably 1999 it is some writing my friend Justin typed up and somehow i got it. It means alot to me because it is about standing around at the coffee house and just enjoying the moment. I grew up working at the Witches Brew and it has become my home away from home, it is the only place I have in Long Island that really makes me happy and I can go there and still be inspired. Its the people there and their drive to complete their visions that keeps me wanting more. Danny and Lee still skate all the time and there is still talks of ping pong, built to spill discussions, even the name Fugazi came up. I will go there and just stand around and wait till Phil comes in so I can get a laugh and a smile on my face. Justin wished for that night to last forever and honestly nights like that happen every night just with a different set of characters. All I wish for is that I will always have a place to go that will have a tiny bit of what the witches brew has given to me. So here is Justin's writing and then a small ramble I made while standing at the bar.

So these are some shots of friends riding early season at Hunter. The mountain has been pretty good just riding everyday, and also teaching snowboard lessons. Winter is in full effect its been snowing more then i've ever seen it snow since I was a young kid.

I spend time trying to find out about smaller more unique surf company's, because I think most of what I see in the mainstream surf industry is really lame and washed out. Most people when they think about surfing they think Kelly slater and other big names like that, for a while now I have been inspired by the surfing of people like Alex Knost, Joel Tudor, Dave Rastovich, and Thomas Campbell. Im sure I could spit out another 10 names to put on a list but there's no need. Its people like these that make surfing and its culture so amazing, by incorporating art into surfing. For these people surfing is more then winning titles and being on the cover of next months issue of Surfer Mag, its what they create in and out of the water that makes me want to get better at what I do in and out of the water. On that note this is a fin I just bought from Thalia Surf Shop from their website www.thaliasurf.com its from the Captain Fin Co. which is Alex Knost's company. Check their website at www.captainfincompany.com to watch some awsome videos and search their shop for anything you might need, and always support independent company's.

I guess in New Port RI when they dont want you shreding sidewalks or stairs they put up really cool looking signs like this one that suggests that skateboarding is not allowed.

I had a really great time in New Port the beaches and the coastline were beautiful, the food was off the charts some of the freshest seafood everrrr. And of course when your there walking around and you look down and think that your shoes are hurtin or you need some new gear the beach town is lucky to have a great shop, go find Blvd. Stocked with a killer selection of vans and some seriously cool insight t's you cant go wrong, and strike up a conversation with the shop owner Justin he's a cool dood who can point you in the right direction for food and drinks or the local beach to shred on.

I hope everyone is still holding onto summer.

They are medium sized works and they are both made on found metal with all sorts of Big Glossy goin on. And then the third work is just a drawing I made a while back called Float.

DRESS CODE: Vans collab with Alex Knost and his Fin CO. These shoes are comfortable, lite,and super fresh.

Surf season is in full efect with the hurricanes kicking around finally in the tropics. Sunday Aug 23 Long beach got hit with a mega swell from Bill these are three images i got early that morning. All I have to say is that it was epic and I didn't get in the water till the next day and it was still pumping. And after we saw Bill we got some swell from Danny I didn't get to shoot any of that swell cause i was sliding all over it.

And this past Sunday I had the day off from work so I went into the city with Shawn we hit the new era store up, got some new music at other music then walked around SoHo. Found some great stuff on Great Jones street and Shawn got the fresh on the street Biggie T.

All in all end of Aug is wild and Im loving every bit of it. It only gets better Summer never ends.

Some days NY does get surf and when it does you got to be on it cause it doesn't stick around for too long, I have been lucky enough to be able to come down on those days and ride. Here is my 9 foot shred sled on the way back from a mid day session at Lido, Sunshine and small waves is what a mid summer day is all about.

The Rec Room was the spot to be on Wednesday July 22, River Ciphers turned out to be a sick little local gig with good beats and freestyles from lower westchester locals.

Even Matt came through to enjoy the night.

And after the Rec Room we headed out to the Cookery and got some x-presso with Sambuca and a little dessert. I suggest if anyone is in the area or wants to hop a train to Dobbs Ferry this place is well worth any trip.

Right now if your headed to the beach you should probably look at the bathing suit you are wearing and if it is not above the knees head to the nearest surf shop and buy your self a pair of the new 09 quicksilver retro shorts. These things are amazing they got them in all different kinds of designs and day glow colors and patterns. They are also the most comfortable board shorts I have ever worn, quick drying and no chaffing.

And then I found these Vans boat shoes that came in a bio-degradable bag so sickkk.

4th of July in a few days and summer is lookin hottttt!

So when I wake up and its rainy and the sky's are all gray and full of clouds I used to be bummed but nowadays I just take it for what it is. I actually have grown to enjoy overcast days seeing them as nice days just in a totally different way DUH. And sometimes certain things that would not normally be nice can get their time to shine.

Last thursday i took a trip up to New Paltz to see Talib Kweli and i met up with some friends and did some serious rageing which lasted till about 5 in the morning when i finally got to sleep on a couch that has probably had about a thousand different people sleep on. Then a week later i headed up there again and ate some bistro with Pullman, then went over to his studio in Kingston and shot him blowing some glass. If any one is interested in buying some custom pieces you can get at me, and i will set you up. He makes some pretty amazing work so if you want something just ask.

So this is my spot that i found on the hudson in my backyard, i dig it because of the old drift wood that just gets washed up onto the concrete slabs that are along the shore. Summer somehow crept right in on the east coast insane! I always have a hard time focusing on what to write or what to make I think its a problem that someone should have spotted along time ago i heard they make drugs for it. I just recently finished this book and i was diggin it and i wanted to know if anyone else has read it and would want to talk about it a bit.
AND these are the shoes that im feelin for this friday first set eyes on them through J's blog Landokicks and then investigated a bit more about them through the website all in all they are super fresh and if they werent at such a high price i would try to get myself a pair.

This is a drawing i made in Illustrator, I'm just learning how to use the program so even though its not perfect I am pretty proud of myself. So today I found this storefront for rent and the price is really right and its got the location thing down, I would love to open a sick art gallery but I have no funds. Im also going through a tough dry period with my creativity its like my mind is not even working in that department. Started a new book that I'm diggin so far, its called My Booky Wook. I also went to Pace University last night where my friend Buddy and his dad were speaking, Buds dad was diagnosed with ALS also known as Lou Gehrigs disease when Bud was in 3rd grade. Buds dad is a very strong and amazing person and I'm really glad i was able to hear the two of them speak together. They are definitely two of the radest people in my book right now.
